The Brand

Wotton Houses a Country Estate Hotel located in Dorking, set in 13 acres of Surrey countryside with beautiful Grade II listed Italian gardens. Their love of botanicals and wildlife are brought to life in all of their rooms which are individually designed with a sense of style and charm that have become synonymous with Wotton House throughout the centuries.

They needed our help in taking over the social media accounts with the responsibility of the continuation of regular content being distributed across their social platforms, including organic social media management, content creation, graphic design services for any additional assets and the execution of paid social media campaigns with the aim to drive traffic to the website for bookings, sign ups and awareness.

The aim to work with Wotton House to continue to amplify their online presence, increasing engagement with potential new as well as existing audiences.

The Action

We used the Wotton House social channels as a platform to give a face to the name of the hotel, creating a human connection that allows potential guests to see the people behind the team that make up the experience of staying there.

Shaping messaging around what provided value to the followers of the accounts, and maintaining a strong relationship between them and the hotel. This also included re-sharing any content guests and followers posted and tagged the hotel into, allowing them to feel part of the journey and further encouraging interaction on the social media channels.

Videos have the power to inspire engagement, increase the time spent on the account/page and content is more likely to be shared and go viral. With this in mind we utilised TikTok in providing BTS content, get to know/interview segments with staff and where relevant, the recreation of trends with staff members. Just some examples include UGC style content from the perspective of a guest staying at the hotel, wedding focused inspirational content, food focused content and inspiration of things to do whilst staying in the area/for ‘the perfect weekend getaway’.

The Results

In doing so we ensured that content met the demands of audiences at a particular time, utilising this trend to drive bookings, positioning the hotel as the ‘place to be’ and generating feeling of immediacy in not wanting to miss out. One video that performed particularly well incorporated the ‘Probably need a hug’ trend, a popular trend on TikTok whereby we advertised their Saturday Spritz events in April of 2025.

Our paid advertising campaigns boosted reach and engagement by targeting refined audiences. Whether aiming for sign ups/bookings or brand awareness, we create focused, creative social ads that maximised reach, increased engagement and drove conversions whether to the hotel website for booking or sign up pages on the events at the hotel.
